In view of the America Invents Act provisions coming into effect on March 16, 2013, including the US going to a first to file patent system, along with other “pay to play” provisions that favor large companies, Mr. Villamar launched OU812. The mission of Ou812 is to team up startups, small inventors, and universities around the world to mitigate the disadvantageous effects of the AIA.
